A Lottielab alternative when you need a video
Lottielab is a browser motion design tool for product teams: a keyframe timeline, motion paths, a Figma plugin and interactive state machines, made to ship Lottie files to apps and websites. On its free plan you can export GIF and MP4, but Lottie export and HD or 4K video take Pro, at US$12 per editor a month billed yearly. smooth.video doesn't make Lottie files: it exports video, GIF and images at any size, for free.

The animation ends up as a video: a social post, a product teaser, a clip for a presentation or a README, maybe with photos, footage or music, and you want it in full HD or 4K without a plan.
When Lottielab fits better
The animation ships inside an app or a website as a small vector file, starts from Figma frames, reacts to people, or is shared across a product team. smooth.video does none of that.
