Stream overlay and screen maker

The screens and overlays a live stream needs, animated and in your own colours: a starting soon screen that loops while people arrive, a be right back screen for the break, a glowing frame around your webcam, a schedule, a live badge. Make them in your browser and bring them into OBS as video files.

How it works

  1. 1

Start from a stream template: starting soon, be right back, webcam frame, schedule or live badge.

  2. 2

Put in your name, your socials and your colours. The scene ends with its last element, so its length is the length of your loop.

  3. 3

Export full screens as MP4 and overlays as transparent WebM, then add each one to OBS as a media source with looping on.

Loops that don't jump

A screen that plays for minutes has to loop cleanly: end every movement where it started, or fade everything out and back in. The animated background template is built that way.

Overlays over your game

A webcam frame, a live badge or a subscribe reminder needs a transparent background to sit over gameplay. Export those as WebM: OBS plays them with their transparency.

Questions

Does it work with OBS?
Yes. Add the exported file as a Media Source, tick Loop, and it plays like any other video. Transparent WebM files keep their transparency.
Can I make alerts that react to follows or donations?
No, smooth.video makes video files, not live alerts. If your alert service accepts a video file, you can use one made here.
Is it free?
Yes, with no account and no watermark.
