Animated GIF maker
Make a GIF from scratch rather than from a clip: type some text, drop in a logo, a photo or a shape, give each one an animation, and export it as a GIF at exactly the size you need. It all happens in your browser, it's free, and the file comes out without a watermark.
How it works
- 1
Start from a template, or from an empty canvas at any size: square post, story, banner, or your own width and height.
- 2
Add text, images or shapes and pick how each one arrives: fade, slide, pop, bounce, blur, flip. For anything else, move an element at a point on the timeline and smooth.video animates the way there.
- 3
Click Export and choose GIF. The file is made on your computer, nothing gets uploaded.

A GIF needs no play button and no player: it moves on its own in an email, on a website, in a README, a Notion page, a Slack message or a slide. Keep it short, keep the colours few and the text big, and it stays light and sharp.
Same project, any format
Need a video after all? The same project exports as an MP4 for Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn, as a WebM, or as a PNG, JPG or WebP still. There's nothing to rebuild.

- No. Open the page and start. Your projects stay in your browser, and you can save any of them as a .smooth file to open again later or on another computer.

- Yes. Add a video file to the scene, put text or stickers on top if you like, and export the whole thing as a GIF.
