When Jitter fits better

You design in Figma and want your frames brought straight in, several people work in the same file, or you ship Lottie animations in an app or a website. smooth.video does none of those.

When Vyond fits better

You make training or internal videos with characters that talk, need AI avatars, publish to a learning platform as SCORM, or share brand controls across a company. smooth.video has none of those.

Vyond vs smooth.video

When smooth.video fits better

You need a logo reveal, an animated post, a lower third or a YouTube intro, you want it today, and you'd rather not sign up for another tool or pay to remove a watermark.

You need motion graphics, not characters: a title, a stat, a lower third, a logo reveal or an overlay for a video you're already making, and a yearly contract doesn't make sense for it.

Questions

Can I import Jitter or Figma files?
No. smooth.video imports images, video, audio and layered Photoshop files.
Can an AI assistant make the animation for me?
Yes. A smooth.video project is a plain JSON scene, and its whole format is published at smooth.video/llms.txt. Point ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant at it, describe your animation, and open the file it gives you in the editor.
How can it be free?
There is no server doing the work: the editor and every export run in your browser, so one more user costs nothing to serve.
Can smooth.video export SCORM?
No. It exports video files, which you can upload anywhere a video is accepted.
Does it have characters or avatars?
No. It animates text, images, video, shapes and drawings.
Is there a free trial?
There's no need for one: everything is free, with no time limit and no watermark.
